Did you know Tuttle Road UMC sponsors iZosh Maine, a daughter chapter of iZosh International?
What is iZosh?
Named with an Amharic word meaning "compassionate support of a woman", iZosh offers micro-loans to impoverished women around the world, enabling them to begin a business to help lift their family out of extreme poverty. TRUMC covers all administrative costs for twice annual Events where women of all ages come together to learn about challenges faced by women globally, grant micro-loans from funds contributed that evening, and celebrate the empowerment of women with a hand up rather than a hand out. iZosh Maine meets locally (in Falmouth), but acts globally - we would love to have you come to experience an Event!
If you or a friend would like to get involved, please reach out to email@example.com for more information! We'd love to have you at our next event!
We had another successful
Thanks to all who baked, spread the word, brought friends, helped clean up and donated towards the micro-loans. It was a wonderful evening with speaker Micky Bondo.
We learned about the power of continuing to strive as she spoke about her life as an immigrant woman, her current work with new immigrant women in Portland and with the women farmers in Congo.
Together we raised $4,310 and funded micro-loans to 18 women! This is great cause for celebration and gratitude! Please pray for each woman who will receive this money and use it to work to better their family's life.
Please mark your calendars for our April Event which will be held on April 6th at OceanView in Falmouth!
